These are original paintings
by John Davis, on canvas
stretched over a wooden frame. As I understand it John was
accidentally
shot and killed in the fall of 1998 in the back of his Pawn Shop in St.
Petersburg Florida. John was survived by his two children and a
wife who was pregnant with a third child that John was never to
see.
To the best of my knowledge John had lived in Miami Florida, St.
Petersburg
Florida and Brooklyn New York. I purchased these twelve paintings
from John when he was working as an artist in Brooklyn. While in
New York John also painted scenery for some of the Broadway
shows. He also sold paintings through a New York Art Gallery but
I'm not sure which one. As you
can
see John was an extreamly talented artist that unfortunately will never
paint
again. If John's mother Donna, or his wife Mitzi, read this I
would
like to communicate with either or both of them to know more about
John's
life.
